Carl Silva is a technology innovator and systems
architect with more than 20 years of experience building intelligent software
solutions. As the Chief Scientist and co-founder of Sphinx Medical Technologies, he
is the lead architect behind CallMyDoc, designing the platform’s AI logic, security
infrastructure, and advanced automation that streamline communication for medical
practices nationwide.
With a background in computer science, network engineering,
and health-tech development, Carl specializes in creating practical tools that solve
everyday challenges for physicians. His partnership with Dr. Shahinaz Soliman led to
the creation of CallMyDoc—an AI-powered communication platform that replaces
answering services, reduces workload by up to 80%, and improves patient
access.
Known for precision, innovation, and deep technical expertise, Carl
continues to guide the scientific vision and engineering evolution of CallMyDoc,
ensuring the platform remains secure, reliable, and at the forefront of healthcare
automation.
Shahinaz Soliman, M.D.
Founder • Physician • Innovator
Shahinaz Soliman, M.D. is a board-certified family physician and healthcare entrepreneur with more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience. Born in Cairo, Egypt, she graduated from Ein Shams University Faculty of Medicine at 23, completed her pediatrics residency, and moved to the United States in 1992. She later joined Palmer College of Chiropractic West as an Assistant Professor, where she earned seven consecutive Outstanding Faculty of the Year awards.

After contributing to oncology research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, she completed her Family
Medicine residency at King Drew Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and graduating with
honors. In 2003, she founded Soliman Care Family Practice Center, where she continues to lead a
thriving practice focused on compassionate, evidence-based care.
Dr. Soliman is an active
staff member at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Little Company of Mary, and maintains
memberships with the AAFP and AMA. Her passion for improving healthcare efficiency led her to
co-found Sphinx Medical Technologies and to create CallMyDoc, an AI-powered communication platform
designed to reduce physician burnout and elevate patient access nationwide.
She is also the
creator of Spare My Hair, a science-based hair restoration line, reflecting her longstanding
interest in dermatology and aesthetics.
Driven by innovation, empathy, and real-world
clinical insight, Dr. Soliman continues to build technology and care models that make healthcare
more accessible and sustainable for both patients and physicians.
